Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA (privacy policy). When you visit a page, Vercel processes technical data required to deliver it, in particular IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, and browser information. These server logs are stored for a short period for security and to operate the service. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website). Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses apply as a further safeguard for transfers to the United States.
Contact form and email
If you use the contact form or email me, I process your name, email address, message, and the time of the enquiry solely to reply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract) and, where you tick the consent box, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing me; this does not affect processing already carried out.
Form submissions are delivered by Web3Forms (Web3Creative, India) (privacy policy,data processing agreement). Web3Forms processes the data as a processor in order to send it to hello@valentinkrutak.com and may retain it briefly in its dashboard according to the plan. Processing may take place in the United States and India; transfers rest on the standard contractual clauses in the DPA. A hidden honeypot field is used only to reject automated spam; humans never need to fill it in.
I keep enquiry data only as long as needed to handle the conversation, then delete it, unless longer retention is required for an ongoing project or by law.
Fonts and media
Fonts are hosted with the site. Profile and project images are served from the same host. No data is sent to Google Fonts or similar third-party font services.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc., USA) to count page views and visitors. The script does not set cookies and does not collect advertising identifiers. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used). SeeVercel’s analytics privacy notes. There are no advertising or social-media tracking pixels, and no optional cookies.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna,dsb.gv.at).
